Hollywood Pop star Britney Spears has been the latest victim of the hackers. Recently, they have hacked her Verified Twitter account, which is supposed to be a legitimate account.

Verified Twitter accounts can be used by celebrities and important agencies to ensure that their names and brands are not being used by anybody or hacked by any person. Twitter offers that service for some pages only.

The news was clear from her last two posts, which suggests that someone has taken control of her personal page. Firstly, Britney posted, “I hope that the new world order will arrive as soon as possible!”, while earlier she wrote, “I give myself to Lucifer every day for it to arrive as quickly as possible, Glory to Satan.” The last post before this says, “Britney rocked it in Melbourne last night! Adam Leber, Manager” which clearly shows that her account had been hacked recently.

The city of Sherwood is missing thousands of dollars after internet hackers cracked into its bank account. The online theft has sparked a multi-state investigation by the FBI trying to recover the money.

Mayor Virginia Hillman says thieves took $219,000 from the city’s checking account at Eagle Bank. The FBI took over the investigation when it became clear the money went to people who live as far away as Florida.

Mayor Hillman says even though online banking is popular, Sherwood only uses it to pay city employees and that was one of the reasons the unauthorized transaction was quickly noticed.

Over $400,000 is missing from a bank account for Bullitt County government and authorities are calling it electronic theft.

Greg Schreacke, president of First Federal Savings Bank, said someone was able to get into the county’s network. Once inside, the hackers had access to all of the county’s computers, user names and password. Schreacke said the group accessed the network from another country and that is how authorities were able to trace it.

“This is a pretty sophisticated group, so there’s a high likelihood some of the money is going to be missing. They’re the pros at it. However, we’re going to get a substantial amount back,” said Schreacke.
